Undercarriage Function
Traction mechanism
A bent-axis motor drives each track through a reduction gear. This mechanism allows counterrotation of tracks for maximum maneuverability in close quarters. When the lever is at the neutral position, both the hydraulic brake and the spring-set/hydraulic-released multiplate disc brake are automatically actuated to effect reliable stopping—upper and lower rollers. Sprockets and idlers are lifetime-lubricated. A hydraulic track adjuster is provided for easy tension adjustment of each track.
