What Type Crane Track Shoe Can You Supply?
A crane track shoe is a critical component of a crawler crane's undercarriage system. It is the metal plate that forms part of the crane's track rollers or track chains, directly contacting the ground and supporting the crane's weight. Crawler cranes primarily use two types of track shoes: flat track shoes and double-grouser track shoes, which are also our main products.

Advanced heat-treated process to prolong service life
We are committed to supplying high-quality track shoes to each customer, so we attach great importance to the heat treatment process. All track shoes and pins are whole quenching and high temperature tempering. Full heat treatment after casting, and quenching again after the first mechanical test to enhance wear resistance in key areas. Also, the advanced heat-treated process can improve the mechanical properties of the material, eliminate residual stress and improve the machinability of the material. That could help significantly extend the service life of track shoes and pins.
Accurate dimension can ensure 100% matching
The accurate dimensions means the track shoe can match the whole crawler crane and old track shoes well. Experienced engineers usually confirm the accuracy of track shoe from different aspects, including crane models, parts number, parts dimensions, pictures of crawler crane, and so on. We pay attention to the control of crane parts details, increase the boring processing to improve the coaxiality of the pin hole, and conduct connection inspection for the crawler track shoe after production. The high matching of track shoes will reduce wear with other connected crane parts, and will also improve work efficiency, thereby reducing maintenance costs. Below are the available crawler crane track shoes: Hitachi track shoe, Sumitomo track shoe, Kobelco track shoe, IHI track shoe, Nippon Sharyo track shoe, Terex track shoe, American track shoe, Manitowoc track shoe, Demag track shoe, Link Belt track shoe, Liebherr track shoe, Sany, XCMG, Fuwa, Zoomlion track shoe.

Packing
The production of crane track shoes involves a series of carefully controlled steps to ensure the quality. Below is a detailed explanation of each stage in the production process:
01.Make Mold
Step: Design and create a mold based on the specifications of the crane track shoe.
Tools: CAD software, CNC machines, or manual mold-making tools.
Outcome: A precise mold that defines the shape and dimensions of the track shoe.
02.Sand Mold
Step: Prepare a sand mold by packing specially treated sand around the pattern (mold).
Purpose: To create a cavity in the shape of the track shoe for casting.
Outcome: A reusable mold ready for the casting process.
03.Casting
Step: Pour molten metal (typically alloy steel) into the sand mold to form the rough shape of the track shoe.
Outcome: A rough casting that matches the design specifications.
04.Polishing riser milling
Step: Remove excess material (such as risers and gates) from the casting and polish the surface to achieve the desired finish.
Tools: Grinding machines, milling equipment.
Outcome: A smoother surface and precise dimensions.
05.Quenching & Tenpering
Step: Heat the track shoe to a high temperature and then rapidly cool it (quenching) to increase hardness. Follow this with tempering to reduce brittleness and improve toughness. Outcome: Enhanced mechanical properties, including strength and wear resistance.
06.Machanical Properties Test
Step: Conduct tests such as tensile strength, impact resistance, and elongation to ensure the material meets required standards.
Outcome: Verified mechanical properties for optimal performance.
07.Surface Quenching
Step: Apply surface hardening techniques (e.g., induction hardening) to increase the hardness of the track shoe’s outer layer.
Outcome: A wear-resistant surface that extends the track shoe’s lifespan.
08.Hardness Test
Step: Measure the hardness of the track shoe using methods like Rockwell or Brinell testing. Outcome: Confirmation that the track shoe meets hardness specifications for durability and performance.
09.Painting
Step: Apply protective coatings (e.g., paint or anti-corrosion treatments) to prevent rust and enhance appearance.
Outcome: A finished track shoe with improved durability and a professional look.
10.Final Inspection
Step: Conduct a comprehensive quality check, including dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and performance tests.
Outcome: A high-quality track shoe ready for use.
11.Packing
Step: Securely package the track shoes to protect them during transportation.
Outcome: Ready-to-ship products that arrive in perfect condition.
How to Choose the Right Crane Track Shoe?
Selecting the right crane track shoe is crucial for ensuring optimal performance, durability, and cost-efficiency for your crawler crane. Here are some key factors to consider when making your choice:
Match the Track Shoe to Your Crane Model
Every crawler crane has specific undercarriage requirements. Ensure the track shoe is compatible with your crane’s make, model, and weight capacity. Check the manufacturer’s specifications or consult with a trusted supplier to find the perfect fit.
Evaluate Material and Build Quality
Track shoes are typically made from alloy steel or other durable materials. High-quality shoes offer:

Longer lifespan: Resistant to wear, cracks, and deformation.

Reduced maintenance costs: Fewer replacements and repairs over time.

Best accessories: The pins and nuts connecting crane track shoes are vital. Choose heat-treated pins and grade 8+ bolts, nuts, and washers.

Check for Customization Options
If your operations have unique requirements, consider custom track shoes tailored to your needs. Custom solutions can enhance performance and extend the life of your undercarriage system.
Polishing Riser Milling
Choose a reputable supplier with a proven track record in manufacturing high-quality track shoes. Look for:

Certifications: ISO or other industry standards.

Technical support: Assistance with selection, installation, and maintenance. Warranty: Confidence in the product’s quality and durability.

Balance Cost and Value
While price is important, prioritize value over the lowest cost. High-quality track shoes may have a higher upfront cost but can save you money in the long run by reducing downtime and maintenance expenses.
